Mhallaiyeh

Mhallaiyeh (Mhallaiyeh Shamiyeh) is Syrian milk pudding. It is similar to Mhallabiet Al-Halib but the unique garnish makes it “Mhallaiyeh” which means more beautiful. It is served in celebrations such as weddings.

To Aleppo With Love – Shourabet Al-‘Ades Bi-Hamed

Shourabet Al-‘Ades Bi-Hamed is a type of red lentil soup from Aleppo. Hamed means sour and the source of the flavor in the recipe is Husrum “Verjuice: the pressed juice of unripened grapes”.
